In addition to his position as Founder and CEO of FHC Health Systems, Dr. Dozoretz is also President and Chief Executive Officer of FHC’s subsidiary, ValueOptions, the nation’s largest privately held managed behavioral health care company. Founded in 1983, FHC subsidiaries also include: Alternative Behavioral Services; FirstLab; StayStat; and CS&O.
Dr. Dozoretz is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems. He regularly participates in setting industry standards and has been recruited by health policy makers in the White House to assist in developing national health care policy. Dr. Dozoretz is founding contributor of the Dozoretz National Institute for Minorities in Applied Sciences at Norfolk State University and has created a mentoring program for youth in response to the President’s Summit for America’s Future.
A graduate of State University of New York, Dr. Dozoretz received his medical degree from the University of Buffalo, with specialty training in psychiatry from Case Western University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Dozoretz has worked with managed care since its emergence in the health care industry.
